🎬 LEGACY MAKERS^® with Wakefield Brewster 🎬

On this episode of LEGACY MAKERS^®, host Jacqueline Clements sat down with Wakefield Brewster.

Wakefield is a professional poet and spoken word artist, one of Canada’s most prolific poets, and Calgary’s 6th Poet Laureate from 2022-2024. Titles like these matter, but what stays with you is the person behind them.

Wakefield is a community builder in the truest sense. He shows up through volunteering, leadership, and mentorship for youth. His advocacy for literacy and the humanities is not rooted in abstraction, but in their power as practical tools that shape how people think, speak, and lead.

Wakefield is one of those rare people who simply makes your life better for having met him. There is a joy in him that is unmistakable. It flows from purpose, and it is not naive. It is the kind of joy earned through struggle and refined by what he has chosen to overcome.

If you believe in the power of language, purpose, and resilience to shape a life, you will want to watch this conversation.
